This week has been an unmitigated catastrophe for Donald Trump, so the mainstream media
narrative goes. He yelled at a baby! He attacked the mother and father of a slain war hero! He took a purple heart from a veteran! The Republican Party is creating a contingency plan in case they have to sack him! He won't endorse the Speaker of the House in his primary! The President called him unfit to serve - and this President never politicizes anything!
If you've been on social media or seen the news this week, it would seem as though the Democrat media-political establishment has finally stumped the Trump; maybe there are brakes on the fabled Trump Train after all, Newt Gingrich thinks to himself as he breathes a heavy sigh. Recent polling does not make a case for optimism either. The legendary Nate Silver gives Trump only a 20% chance of winning in November compared to his peak of 50% only last week. Gloating MSNBC geeks and the wounded #NeverTrump crowd rise from the ashes of the RNC blast to reap the fruits of 13 long months of denial. It would seem as though Bill Kristol, having declared "peak Trump" every week since June of 2015, has finally had his day. This of course is the narrative that has played in perpetuity since the Democratic National Convention which initiated the most concerted and successful assault on Trump so far.
It is always darkest before the Don. If this were any other election year, the Democrat political machine would have buried the Republican nominee with a comparable assault. But this isn't just any election year. This is 2016. This is a year of open revolt against Washington DC, against the media, against political correctness, against downright politeness. Nobody believes the narrative anymore, as the reality is streamed in real time on Twitter and on Facebook and on Reddit every minute of every day. Nate Silver and his up-talking progressive sycophants can demote Donald Trump's chances of winning in November to 1% if they cared to; but very little can be done from the media establishment to take any energy from the Trump camp. The polling, which is conducted by media organizations openly coordinating with Hillary Clinton, has Trump spiraling out of the race; meanwhile thousands of people are being turned away from his rallies that are announced less than a week in advance. In the month of July alone, Trump raised $80 million, contributing to his war chest of $90 million of which 97% was accrued from small donations. Other polling has Trump winning by a significant margin with veterans, unaffiliated voters, and independents. The truth is coming out.
When Barack Obama tilts his chin high above the masses to pontificate about a President Trump's fitness for office, those hacks at Politico are the only fools still listening. We the People know that this Marxist fraud who has never held a real job in his life has nothing on a man who has actually created thousands of jobs. Eight years into this failed presidency with an incompetent ideologue at the helm, the people that have been paying attention could care less what this classless, petulant narcissist has to say about the future of the country.
With the media now blatantly and openly colluding with the Democratic Party, We the People don't really care what George Stephanopoulos has to say anymore either. The DNC email leaks only confirmed the widespread collusion between the Democrat establishment and the media that ordinary Americans have been waking up to for years. As Trump himself said, "We have to punch through the media!" And this is exactly what he's doing. When Kizhr Khan went on the attack at the DNC, to the shock of cuck pansy Ezra Klein, Trump threw a counter-punch right back. While the mainstream media narrative has Trump disrespecting a gold star family and a vet, Breitbart and the real journalists left in America have exposed Khan as a radical Islamist who associates with the Muslim Brotherhood, works for Saudi Arabia, and has written academic papers on the supremacy of Sharia Law to the Constitution.
The Democrats cannot suppress the truth forever. The American people have gotten wise to the con being perpetrated by the media and they are only beginning to realize their power to resist the narrative. Trump isn't going anywhere. Pundits on both sides have been quick to offer their two cents on what needs to happen in the Trump camp to "save" his bid for the White House; but Trump didn't win the nomination by letting the transient tides of polling dictate his strategy. Many are eager to call the race for Hillary, but there are 95 days until November 8th. There are three debates, three cage-matches yet to be fought. They can't hide Hillary for that long. Trump is the most dynamic figure in American politics so far in this millennium and this could not contrast more starkly with the static, politically ancient Hillary Clinton.
This week we have seen the worst of what the Democrats can do. With the highest office in the land precariously close to slipping into the hands of an outsider, politicians and media operatives alike have swarmed like white blood cells rejecting an infection in a frenzied mob. But Trump is a man who has been thinking strategically for 30 years, he can smell the blood in the water. He can sense the panicked desperation, the fear in a criminal political machine battling a slow death by exorcism from the public square. Trump will maneuver comfortably within the 3 months he has to put Clinton away. He is in no rush to recover polling numbers or allied pundits because successfully navigating and dominating New York real estate hones the art of timing. Have faith my fellow Americans, it's always darkest before the Don.
